Privacy and cookie policy

This policy explains what information The Coeliac Table stores, what our hosting provider may process, and how Google advertising technology is used.

Saved recipes

There is no user account. When you save a recipe, its name is stored only in your browser using local storage. It is not sent to The Coeliac Table. You can remove saved recipes from the website at any time or clear this website's data in your browser settings.

Advertising and cookies

The website uses Google AdSense. Google may not begin serving adverts until the site has been reviewed and approved. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device information and similar technology to provide, measure and protect advertising. Advertising may be personalised only where the visitor has made the appropriate choice.

For visitors in the UK, European Economic Area and Switzerland, The Coeliac Table will use Google's certified consent-management platform. The consent message lets visitors accept, refuse or manage advertising purposes. Visitors can later reopen their choices through the “Privacy & cookie settings” link in the website footer.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage advertising preferences in Google My Ad Center.

Hosting information

The web-hosting provider may process standard server-log information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time. This is normally used for security, fault diagnosis and reliable delivery of the website. The Coeliac Table does not use this information to build saved-recipe profiles.

Who receives information

Google and the vendors disclosed in the consent message may receive information needed to deliver and measure advertising. Their retention periods and processing purposes are displayed in the consent controls. Hosting providers may process technical logs as described above.

Your choices and rights

You can refuse non-essential advertising storage in the consent message, change your choice later, clear local storage in your browser and use device or browser controls to limit cookies. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal data.
